Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM) will open Casino Oceanus at Jai Alai on December 15, its most recent property in the gaming sector.
The grand opening will be officiated over by the Chief Executive, Edmund Ho. At 8pm the Casino Oceanus will formally open to the public.
Commenting on the opening chief executive officer of SJM, Ambrose Ho said “Oceanus will be very successful for SJM and for Macau. It is the first casino within easy reach of the ferry terminal. The property, in the busy Outer Harbour District, provides another anchor to our business on the Macau Peninsula, the principal gaming and entertainment area of Macau. It is very satisfying for us to develop Oceanus at this strategic location and to consolidate our position further in Macau.”
The Casino Oceanus comprises more than 32,000 square metres of gaming space over three floors housing more than 260 table games and over 560 slot machines. Located in the property is also a range of food and beverage outlets and retail shops.
Casino Oceanus was designed by the renowned casino architect, Paul Steelman. Its interior is decorated in cool blue colours combined with warm reds, oranges and greens meant to be redolent of the sea and corals. The building’s façade gives the visual impression of being enveloped in multi-coloured bubbles.
